Wind backed more to the East, so a slower point of
sail, still, not too shabby,eh?
My my my, apart from having three other boats
within a 15nm radius of us we're also starting to catch up a group of 14 boats
that left from Isla Isabella the same day as we left San Cristobal (they were
thus 80nm ahead of us at the start). Apparently there are boats anchored outside
the harbour at Hiva Oa waiting to check in and 50% of the boats that stopped at
Fatu Hiva (the southenmost island in the Marquesas) first before checking in
have been fined US$200! Hmm, well we have just about 9.5 days to go so no doubt
the situation will have changed by the time we (all 19 of us!)
arrive.
I tell you, it's getting so crowded out here it's
almost as bad as he Solent on a Sunday afternoon.
