An outboard called Lazarus

henceforth be known as 'Lazarus'.
Overseen by young James L (Jim) I stripped Lazarus down, liberally sprayed
it with WD40 and carburetor recovery spray, cleaned out all the jets and
lo and behold....brrrrm brrrrm! The only dark spot was that 'somebody'
obviously needed a length of fuel pipe for the same job and 'borrowed' my
pipe the one from the on/off switch to the carburetor. Well, easily
replaced and Jim may have a spare 'thingy' which connects the external
on/off switch to the inline switch.
We failed to remove the key from either rudder shaft. That will require
grinding a bit of the key away...not a job for this little soldier and Jim
doesn't have the necessary grinder.
Tomorrow I will go and pay for the crane (the one that didn't manage to
lift out Trouters) and also see if I can get a tax-exempt letter from 'The
Ministry' (of finance).
Tuesday I have employed 'a man' (for the princely sum of F$20 per day) to
clean out the hulls/engine bays. OK, that may take him two days but
apparently he is a good worker so maybe a third day to try and resurrect
some of the woodwork? Maybe.
Did I mention that my SSB ATU was drowned? Oh well, no SSB for the
foreseeable future, cheaper to revive the Iridium just before I leave here
(sometime next year). Of course I'll still need a new VHF (and aerial, and
wiring etc etc).
