Position at 1225 Local 08/11 or 2325 UTC 07/11
33 nm to run to the Customs dock at Opua and about 22 nm to go until inside Opua Bay. Should be going alongside around 1800 local or 0600 UTC.
It's taken approximately 2 years and six months  to actually get here and I suppose about four years in the planning. Normally I'm sorry to get to the end of a voyage, but because we've had a comparatively easy trip down here I feel more relieved than anything else (assuming nothing else goes wrong, the water maker has just packed up!). So, just about the end of one chapter in the cruise, now for a six month break then off again somewhere else, or not; Who knows? Visitors are coming out from the UK in Feb, so I'll tour a take tour around with them when they are here (Bun & Steve). Been taliking to Den & Hev on Duende, should give them a wave as we pass them in the anchorage and get together tomorrow.A fairly long list of repairs on the boat, hopefully most of it minor(ish) but no tearing hutty for once to get all the jobs done AND hopefully parts will be easily attainable.
Aurora B and ourselves should be arriving at the same time (they're in sight behind us) and there's another boat behind them. Assuming Customs have shut up shop for the night we'll have a little supper party to finish up all the 'prohibited food items'.
