Hello everybody, 'Steakbridge' here (thanks for that one, Abbey)
Well, to go with the steaks I thought I'd get some mushrooms. Thery don't keep too well, so I only brought 1 kg, which we carefully stowed in paper bags in a spares locker. Although, as everybody knows, cats are virtually gyro-stabilised and hardly move around at all :), somehom the top of a jar of swarfega came off and was absorbed by the mushrooms. Before I could stop them, the crew (mutinous dogs) had slung them overboard. Why I don't know, after all they were certainly clean! Anyway, the chaps cleaned up the locker and cooking continued sans mushrooms.
All is well, apart from the watermaker which has developed a major crack in the diaphragm housing (email sent, it's under warranty). We have plenty of water anyway, so no problems (fingers crossed). Weather is not too bad, winds a tad stronger than indicated in the GRIB files, we're getting F6/7 most of the time and averaging an easy 6kts. Well reefed all the time and quite comfortable.
As of 1900 last night, all was well with Moonshiner, we speak via SSB at 1900 utc every evening.
Regards to all our readers,
