Well, to save my guests who are arriving this week a 30-odd nm windward slog from Pasito Blanco to Las Palmas, I decided to 'brave it' today, on a favourable forecast (NE F3-4, 5 later). The forecast for later this week is for strong winds so we probably wouldn't have got much sailing done on the south coast and the anchorages would have been a bit rolly, to say the least.
In the event, I had a very pleasant eight hour motor sail up the coast, no wind acceleration zones and virtually no swell. There aren't too many boats in the anchorage, so I'll stay out here for a night or so then go into the marina the day the guests arrive. Then I'll be there until 'the big offski' because, to miss-quote the late great Frank Sinatra:
Jobs, I have a few
But then again
Too few to mention
Until I have a closer look around the boat!!!!!!!!!
