Still in Noumea and still getting my two problems sorted out, although the throttle should be done today and hopefully the windlass motor will be overhauled in the next day or so.
In the meantime, now it's topped raining it's turned quite pleasant again!

A couple of days before 'Le Storm'. Note blue sky, flat seas and almost total absence of wind. It was very pleasant and there was no hint of the trouble brewing.

I believe that's what they call 'beyond economical repair!

On a brighter note I have now finished the Tim Turpin stories and sent them to John (the illustrator) for his approval and a couple more illustrations. Hopefully they'll be en-route to Emma the Agent in the near future. No other news on the literary front to report, except to say that I'm now starting work on the next three Karno short stories. Hopefully I'll be able to publish them in January.

Happy Christmas/seasons greetings to you all. If I don't get out of here this week I'll be at sea over the Christmas period but I have to say that doesn't bother me an awful lot! Speaking of Christmas if you're stuck for ideas for pressies I can recommend a couple of good books
