Today was putting both engines back in place and running them day. NOT.
Martin had conned some work out of a visiting yottie before anybody could warn them. A valve in their dingy had come out.still not fixed this evening, I'll explain why in a moment.

Trouters was listing (dried out on a slope) at the time so OK, once she's level we can 'crane' the other engine onto its mounts, but feel free to put the bolts into the engine which IS sitting on its mounts. Yeah yeah, no problem. I spent a couple of hours editing the eBook.

Lunchtime. Martin is in the bar being brought beers by a friend. Engines? Yeah yeah.

I went shopping. Tonight I cooked my first meal on Trouters for 13 months. Nice to be home.

4pm. Yeah, I'll do the engines now.
No you won't, you've been in the bloody bar all day. What's the problem, you going to finish this job or not?
Tomorrow, 100% guaranteed.
I 100% guarantee if you don't somebody else will and you'll be paying for it.
Oh.
The problem is, he's 'lost' a starter motor and I think has ordered a replacement. He hasn't told me of course, and if he fits the engines he's got to produce the starter motor. I will think of a way of 'fixing' this bastard.

In the meantime John the GRP injured himself and is off work for a couple of days. This is genuine, somebody say the accident and it could have been very nasty. No rudders until the weekend then.

Really no point in pestering the electrician yet either. The engines need to be in and running so he can at least check the charging system, such as it is.

On a more positive note, I'm about halfway through the first edit/proof read of the eBook. Not so many mistakes and as for the editing it's fairly easy to spot the plot 'bloopers' and where I need to cut out excess verbiage.
