Honey, I'm home!

Got back home yesterday afternoon to find ....... the sail bag has been repaired, the new reefing system is in hand (should be ready tomorrow ~ Friday) and the fridge needed defrosting! Everything else was fine and even the 'wine turned into vinegar' that I poured down the heads seems to have done something (not sure what exactly).
Anyway, a very pleasant break seeing friends and relatives (apologies to those of you I didn't get to see this time back). The UK is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there! The plan now is to leave the marina as soon as all repair work is completed [probably on Saturday or Sunday] and head off to? Maybe Fuerteventura if the anchorages are OK, if not the south coast of Gran Canaria. I'm still aiming to visit La Gomera, Hierro and La Palma before returning to G C to pick up crew arriving on the 10th December. A little light cruising for ten days, then back to GC until the 2nd Jan then 'Westward Ho' (well, SSWestward Ho to be more precise, although with my navigation?). I'm now the proud possessor of the 2009 Astro Nav almanac, so no excuses not to get the sextant out on the crossing [no excuses, but I'm sure I'll think of one!].
Well, must dash, got some serious 'warm chilling out' to do!
