On yesterdays SSB net, I proudly announced that I had changed the
thermostat on the fridge and the freezer compartment was now
freezing-down, so maybe the problem had been solved...HAH.....this
morning, despite the fridge compressor running for for lenghty periods
during the night there was a puddle of water in the fridge and the cold
plate wasn't (if you see what I mean). It's now chilling down again so I
think the fridge needs a new 'brain'. The dingy continues to deflate at an
ever-increasing rate and unfortunately one of the patches that hold the
davit-attachment point has started to become unglued. It never bloody
ends, does it!!!!!!!!! A major dingy refurb in Tahiti, not to mention
getting a batten holder replaced on the mainsail, new main halyard,
service both engines, probably spend a lot of money getting the fridge
sorted out, repair the new davit extensions that I had done in Trini and
deal with whatever else I find, & that's before I get to NZ!!!!
