No pictures as we haven't got wifi, but we celebrated  Helen's birthday with a Tuna BBQ, Delicado in attendance. Probably not quite the 'full-on' party experience she might have hoped for but there were enough of those in Fatu Hiva [no, really, my lips are sealed..... although my silence can be broken.  I am cheap, I admit it,  so a few beers will probably have me revealing all, so to speak].
The water in this anchorage is incredibly clear with a sandy beach, so we'll probably be here a day or so before venturing up the island chain. The loose plan at the moment is up to an island called Ua Pou for a few days then maybe up to Nuka Hiva to check out of the Marquesas and going to the 'Tomatoes'. On the other hand, time is slipping away, as it tends to do. We have basically a weeks-worth of sailing to do to get to Tahiti and we want to be there early in the first week of July. The snorkeling in 'The Tomatoes' is said to be spectacular whilst the other anchorages in the Marquesas almost all seem to involve laying a stern anchor which is a back-ache inducing pain, trust me I know this from first-hand experience! We'll see. In the meantime, all is well onboard and as yet the 'to do' list of boat jobs has not expanded, mind you it is 10am as I write this, so there is still plenty of time today for that to change :)
