A splendid start, wind from the SSE F3-4, averaging 6kts speed over the ground. In company with four other boats, Delicado, Liquid Courage, Calypso and another whose name escapes me just at the moment. Left the anchorage at 0910 local this morning, 1800 UTC corresponds to local noon at this Longitude.
Pam, Jim & I had a quiet meal ashore last night. Being a gentleman I won't mention that 'the girls', drinking ashore with the crews from the other departing boats missed the last water taxi back out to the anchorage so spent the night (with suitable chaperones, of course) sleeping on the benches by the water taxi dock! They thought I was asleep when they snuck back on board at 0615 this morning but I heard 'em! Naturally I also wouldn't mention that Helen, in the middle of breakfast, suddenly remembered that she'd forgotton to pick up her laundry so had to rush ashore to pick it up.
Apparently there's also about five other boats leaving from the Island of Isabella this afternoon, so 'mercies sake big buddy, looks like we have a convoy!'
All well on board. Curried bean & chicken stew tonight to gently 'waft us on our way'.
