At anchor, Roeden Rust 'Marina', 1650 local, 2050UTC.
A fairly lumpy last 24 hours, a bit like beating into a Solent chop, but we made it. The river estuary seemed to go on for miles (it took about 5 hours before we saw land). The water is a muddy brown colour, but the area looks fascinating. Tomorrow off at about 1100 local to go up the river to Bartica to clear Customs & Immigration, about 25 nm. At times today, we touched 9 kts speed over the ground due to the flood tide, so hopefully more of the same tomorrow.
