Wibble, wibble wibble wibble.....wibble wibble...
Loosely translated that means I'm OK because the dolphins talk to me. The problem is I had a philosophical argument with a marine mammal about the meaning of life...... and lost!
Just when I thought I'd regained my grip, just before dawn this morning I saw something reflected in the loom of the stbd nav light..... Slocum's ghost, moths...bats?????? Watching more awake I noticed there were two 'apparitions', with wings, turning over the nav light, diving down towards the sea then re-appearing off the starboard quarter flying along the deck and starting again. Lapwings, I think. Narrow wings, not up on bird spotting.
Anyway, the forecast is for SW F5 to 6 tomorrow, with rain.  Guess which way I'm headed? Yup, got it in one.
I've decided to make for Camarinos instead of Muros. 'Should'  [tempting fate here] be there about the time the weather turns iffy. Right now I'm still powering ahead (my wallet is sulking and won't speak to me) with main set, giving me a bit of lift now and again. Wind is ENE F2-3, sea still slight, about 1-2 metre swell and the sky is becoming overcast. Let's see now....'uno cervesa, por favor?'.
Incidentally, I'm keeping a plot on the Biscay chart I used on the crossing with Ocean Freedom. I'm 30-odd miles, 13 years and eight days away from where I was, if you see what I mean. [On reflection, I don't see what I mean, but I'll think about it!]
