That's Passover, to those who are not co-religionists. Helen & I
decided to hold an abbreviated Passover meal onboard tonight. This was
sparked off by a visit to the local Indian supermarket on Bequia
(Doris's), who believe it or not stocked Kosher salt & Matzomeal! The
only thing not in stock was matzo. All the other 'bits'have been
assembled! Some of you will know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, the answer to the traditional Seder question
"Why is tonight different from other nights?"
is
A) It's being celebrated on a boat in the Caribbean
B) You don't normally eat the Passover meal in swimwear
C) I don't normally celebrate Passover (at least not for twenty odd years)
Anyway,
Happy Easter to the rest of you!
We were out practicing on Tiger Frightener yesterday (for the Bequia
Regatta). Not sure about this racing lark. Too much grinding of
winches, gnashing of teeth and shouting at Fiona....not enough beer
drinking. BUT, we got the race tactics sorted out........sail faster
than the other boats!
