This must be within a few metres of where we were last time in Trois Islets. We left Dominica bright and early (0620!!) and had a fairly 'brisk' sail down towards Martinique. Just off the north coast another British boat thought he saw a mast on the rocks, so we got involved in relaying to Fort de France MRCC, but luckily it turned out to be a crane!
Anyway, we stuck our noses into St Pierre, but there was a 25kt wind and associated swell there so decided to continue to Trois Islets. As we entered the Rade de Fort de France, the MRCC started reporting a dismasted yacht in the St Lucia Channel. Didn't get involved with that one!
Anyway, here for a couple of days until the forcast northerly swell either materialises and disappears or doesn't appear at all. If it's calm tomorrow, I'll dingy in then take the ferry to clear in at Fort de France, if not I'll clear in at marin on Monday
Hoping to meet up with Tiger Frightener on wednesday in Rodney Bay, then down to Bequia.
