Like Godot, my spare parts from Raymarine appear to be never turning up. The paperwork arrive Fri am (went to the marina office, so I 'rescued' them and delivered them to Regis (the Raymarine agent). Their customs agent picked them up Fri pm and was due to get the parts out of customs Mon am. It's now Mon pm....mutter mutter mutter :)
Anyway, in the meantime we've met up with 'Mudskipper" (Ruth & Pete). An Australian boat we met in Las Palmas. They came onboard for Christmas day and are coming round this evening for a sundowner. We've been moored next door to Gemini (yet another 'wild colonial boat), Wei, Ishbel & Ross. Also had an ale ot two with 'Mary Madelein', a Canadian boat (Danielle & Greg). Quite a busy social event!
Assuming we do eventually get out of Rodney Bay marina  the plan is to go up to Dominica in two day 'hops' (anchoring off St Pierre, Martinique) then proceed northwards as far as Antigua. The plan then is southwards towards Bequia, the Grenadines and then Grenada. Leaving Grenada towards the end of May and heading direct for Bonaire/Curacao. I'll stay in the ABC's for a couple of months then onto Columbia, coast hopping to the San Blas Islands and the rest of the Caribbean coast of Panama.
It's looking like Helen will be leaving in the ABC's as the airfares from Panama are astronomical (at least, at first attempt at getting prices), so...... Anybody fancy a trip from the ABC's to Panama and maybe across the Pacific to New Zealand for Christmas '10?
