Tuesday 27th September – Kalamaki, Zakynthos - UK

This morning we continued our trip home…

We had a leisurely breakfast, repacked and spent the rest of the morning by the pool (not so quiet this morning, we were joined by a few other folk).  At midday we checked out and took possibly the most expensive cab in history for the short hop to the airport (€17.00 for a 4-5 minute journey).

We checked in for our flight and arrived back at a sunny East Midlands airport late afternoon – right on schedule.  We were pleased to find that the UK is enjoying some unseasonally high temperatures for the end of September and amazingly was as warm as Greece - so we didn’t need to dig our coats out J

The P’s were waiting to meet us as we came out at Arrivals and we drove them back up to Chesterfield.  The building work on their extension is in full swing but still some way to go.  After enjoying a supper of fish and chips from the local chippie, we drove down to Surrey late evening to see Richard’s Mum.
