A landmark day in the history of Pyxis; today was the day that the microwave was fitted!  It looks really good and makes the galley look bigger.

Peter came round early this afternoon and he and Richard set to the task.  They spent a very hard day fitting the microwave into the galley.  I spent a very nervous day watching Pyxis get dusty and decided I’d better go out for a walk as my getting the vacuum cleaner out every time they stopped drilling was not going down too well.

I called in to see Carola on my return and we came to see the progress.  It was already 6pm and the men were still hard at work; so Carola and I went off to the library to check Moonshadow’s e-mails and then returned to find the men still hard at it – but this time on the wine!

As it was late, we had a quick drink and called it a night – there is the small task of fitting the electric cable tomorrow and then I can have the opening ceremony.

Peter deserves a special mention for being a tidy worker; he saw the look on my face when I first saw the mess down below and so was very good and cleaned as he worked and I came back tonight to a clean boat.
