Today we did a few jobs aboard.

Richard changed the oil in the high pressure pump for the water maker.  He had bought all the relevant equipment when we installed the water maker (a small pump for removing the old oil into a jar and a small funnel for getting the new oil in) so the job was not interrupted by a trip to the chandlery.  There was only 0.2 litres and so the job was surprisingly quick and simple.

That done, we checked the filters and they still look fine and so that was it, the water maker has had its first service.

We then ran the water maker for a couple of hours to replenish our water reserves.

I started on a new design of mossie net – a little more involved than my previous design, it will take me a bit longer to do it but if it is successful I may change the others.

This evening we went ashore to see the town at night and find some ‘live’ music.
