Friday 15th February – Vilamoura

The sun was shining and it was windy so it was a perfect drying day for all the washing that I needed to do after all that time at anchor.

Richard had pointed out that he was down to his last pair of underpants and was getting worried about the ‘best before date’ on the pair of socks he had had to fish out from the laundry bag.

Richard has washed down the outside of the boat; he reckons he has washed off enough sand (blown across from the sand dunes at Culatra) to build a sandcastle.

Being back on our old berth, it has also been good to catch up with many of the folk on the pontoon again, including some just visiting but whom we met on the passage down last Autumn.

Early evening we had a sundowner (or two) with Con and Barb on ‘Big Sky’, giving us a welcome break from the chores; we are now back on board cooking dinner.

After all the exertions of the day, I think it’ll be an early night.
