Sunday 2nd May – Trizónia

We spent a leisurely day here on the island; throughout the day the westerly wind has continued to blow strongly with white caps out in the bay.

Late morning, our neighbour from Messolonghi knocked on the hull to say ‘hello’; he had driven down the coast and caught the ferry across.  He said he was here to visit his new house on the island and pointed it out.  Nice view!

Richard fixed the puncture on my bike so that it can be pressed into service again.

This afternoon we went for a walk along one of the many paths enjoying the sight of new and interesting flowers, bugs, snakes and spiders along the way.

Late afternoon the boats venturing up from the bridge started to arrive and I was nominated honoury harbour master after Richard and I helped a couple of boats in who were struggling in the fresh breeze and uncertain where to berth.

This evening there were 10 of us for drinks aboard Grand Slam before we retired to Pyxis for dinner.
