Everyone was a little more chipper on the pontoon today.

We spent the morning chatting to our Canadian neighbour on the American 393 and taking a look at each other’s boat.  It was fascinating to see the various differences on supposedly identical boats, some of them structural and some cosmetic.  For example, the American version foregoes one of the cockpit lockers but this has the benefit of giving much more head room in the aft cabin; conversely the American version comes with a microwave fitted as standard.

After lunch we wandered into town in search of internet and found ourselves back at the hypermarket for a few more supplies.

On the way back, I spotted what I thought was a library and we had been told by another couple that the libraries here offer free internet access.  Richard said it was in fact an info centre but they might be able to tell us where the library is.  I popped in to ask and noticed some PCs.  Is that internet I asked, Yes and it’s free they said. Great – we sat down and were able to catch up with a few things.
