Sunday 16th May – Epidavros

37:38.240N 23:09.450E

A quiet Sunday in Epidavros as the forecast is still for strong winds across most of Greece for the next few days; fortunately the winds are mostly light in the shelter of the harbour here.

In the morning we spent a bit of time on deck; this was meant to be a relax with a book but we realised we would also be bright orange if we sat down and therefore spent the time sweeping the sand off the deck.

Grand Slam have a couple of creel on board and so each boat deployed one the last two nights off the bow to see if there are any decent size crabs passing by.  We checked them again today but only a few tiny hermit crabs were visiting.

This afternoon the book did come out which was nice, and later we prepared Pyxis for passage – topping up the water tanks and stowing the bikes.

Early evening we went for a walk around the north side of the bay, right to the end which afforded fabulous views across the water.  Away from the shelter of the harbour, the wind was putting wild horses across the bay.  On the way back we wandered past Pam and Andy in one of the tavernas and joined them for a drink.

Whilst I was preparing dinner, Richard went next door to our neighbours on the Sunsail lead boat for a chat.  I then joined them and then another couple joined us and it was quite late by the time we dragged ourselves away for dinner – luckily it was salad and meant to be cold.
