Last night was a welcome rest after two days of travelling and we slept well.  After breakfast I did a bit of washing and Richard caught up on admin.  After lunch we went for a bike ride into town to explore and to find the local supermarket.

We have heard since arriving here that since Monday there is a major haulage strike in Spain (and other neighbouring countries) affecting deliveries of fresh food and fuel (and everything else transported by lorry).  So we went to the supermarket to see what was left – not a lot is the answer but more than we were expecting; there seemed to have been a new delivery of fresh fish which I took advantage of.

This evening we caught up with Stephen and Anne who are now back at the marina having been away yesterday evening visiting friends who live in Javea.  We have noted that they have slept in a real bed and used a real washing machine for their laundry!  Anne can be forgiven because it is her birthday and we all need a day off from reality!
