Today we returned from our brief visit to UK.

Whilst we were in the UK we stayed with Richard’s Mum (my parents being on a cruise in the Baltic); apart from the chance to spend some time with Richard’s mum we had quite a busy time sorting out UK admin, going to the dentist (ouch), optician (my eyes have improved, strangely) and the hairdresser (not as short as last time, by request).

On Tuesday I went to Wimbledon – my friend Claire and I keep entering the ballot and this year she got lucky and got tickets for Court 1 for the second Tuesday – we had a fabulous time on what was the hottest day of the year.  I had to test the new sun block cream I had bought for the Balearics J

We were so busy we didn’t have time to catch up with many people, so apologies to those we missed this time.

On our return to Mallorca today, Peter and Carola were at the airport to collect us and as soon as we got back to the boat, took us out on their rib boat down the coast to a lovely small beach where we immediately went swimming and then back onto the rib boat for drinks.

It was a fabulous welcome back – we had driven down to Gatwick in the rain and at 6 pm we were swimming in a very warm sea and hot sun!  OK the offshore swell meant it was a little damp at times in the rib boat from all the spray at the speed Peter was travelling but nevertheless it was well worth it.

We returned to the marina early evening for showers and then dinner on Moonshadow J
