Friday 10^th April – Cagliari (Leaving Barbecue)

Today was a beautiful sunny day and we made the most of it.  I filled the water tanks whilst Richard went to the shops and then we relaxed in the cockpit for a while over lunch; we even donned our shorts.

This afternoon Richard cleaned the windows on the cockpit canopy (we can now see out) and started cleaning the fenders.  I prepared food for this evening’s BBQ; I marinated chicken and fish in a ginger, garlic and soy sauce and made an accompanying salad.

The evening went really well; with lots to eat and drink.  Bethany and Bryn have been learning to play guitar over the winter and played everyone one of the songs they have learnt, accompanied by Martin and Gary.

It was a farewell evening for us all as many of us will be heading off as soon as the weather clears.  (That said the forecast shows that we could be here for another week as the weather is pretty unsettled for long passages at the moment, with a number of lows coming through L)
