Saturday 16^th May – Monastir, Tunisia (V Windy)

This was the windiest night we’ve had since being here in Monastir and it was a fitful night’s sleep.  Overnight the wind swung around from SE to NW and by morning was gusting up to 40 knots again but from the opposite direction.  The wind has continued to howl through the marina all day and, although has eased a bit, is still going strong tonight.

I spent the day on Pyxis, finally getting round to the job of sewing the cover back on our mattress now we have finished trimming it to fit; it has taken me all day as the shape of our bed is such that the entire cover needed adjusting.  Finally, however, the job is finished.

We are hoping that the wind dies down tonight so that we can get a good night’s sleep.
