Monday 12th May – Ceuta - Gibraltar

This morning we said ‘Goodbye’ to Ceuta and to Moonshadow and set off back to Gibraltar.  The weather was overcast as we left and once out of the harbour the wind was a fairly brisk 20+ knots.  Fortunately the swell was much less than on the outward trip, and the tide a little less as we are nearing neaps.

About half-way across Dad spotted some dolphins off the stern, we were surprised to see them in such a busy shipping area.

About two thirds of the way across the sun finally came out and the wind eased a little and gave us a very pleasant sail through the Bay of Gibraltar.

By lunchtime we were back in our old berth in Marina Bay, next to Blue Elephant.

This afternoon we rested before heading off to explore Gibraltar with the P’s.  On the way back to the boat we called at our usual bar in the main square for a drink and some fish and chips, sitting out in the evening sunshine.
