Monday 9th February – Cagliari (Still windy, time for a party)

The wind has continued to blow steadily all day; fortunately it has remained mostly dry.

Today I tried a different bread recipe, one provided to me by Sarah, which produces a white loaf that keeps well (our problem at the moment is that they don’t last long enough to test this particular property).

Also I made a quiche for Julia’s birthday party tonight and then finished off the mincemeat from Christmas by making some mince pies.

Not only has this kept me busy, it has kept the boat warm J

The party tonight was held in the gazebo.  Trying to blow up and then make objects out of some modelling balloons kept people suitably entertained at first.  Then, after the buffet we all had great fun playing various party games, including a game of Twister, which when played by four slightly inebriated adults, creates quite a hilarious spectacle.  I had never played this game before and was soon collapsed in a heap – in my defence, I don’t think it helped being small!

It was a late night with everybody chatting away…
