After a quiet morning, Richard unloaded the bikes and dusted them off, liberally applying oil in the hope that they would work after all the sailing they’ve done – we haven’t used them since Denia back on the Spanish mainland.  The bikes were feeling a bit stiff but were still OK.

This afternoon, having done battle with the local bank over their faulty cashpoint machine, we took a ride down to the bottom of the island, to Bobba Collonne in mild temperatures; the sun was out but we have got so used to the heat that this mid twenties stuff is feeling rather chilly.  The island is quite small so it only took us about half an hour, and that included stopping to see the flamingos at the lake on the way.

After a short stay we came back via a couple of small beaches along the coast and relaxed on Pyxis after all that exercise.  Richard tried some fishing but the fish have developed an expert technique of removing the bait without touching the hook.
