Friday 27th March – Cagliari (Priming)

One of the nearby chandlers has announced that it is closing down this week, so all week folk from the marina have been popping down and returning with bargains.

David had picked us up some rope earlier in the week, but after breakfast Richard popped down to the chandlery to see if there were any goodies left; he returned with some fins for me.

Whilst he was away, I wiped down and masked the hull ready for antifouling, after servicing the stopcocks with some oil.

I then took the rest of the day off whilst Richard primed the hull ready for antifouling.

This afternoon Sarah and I went off to the art exhibition as she had not yet seen it and we had a great time wandering around looking at the pictures from our ‘art class’ viewpoint.  We spent so long looking at the pictures that we were presented with the price list.

We then went to the art shop where I bought some more paints before we headed back to the marina.

Tonight, we ate aboard Cape again (they have been brilliant at looking after us whilst we are on the hard) and then we all went off to the gazebo for Bill’s birthday party;  Bill and his brother Pete are American and have been over-wintering here before sailing back to the States.

It was the usual late night…
