We relaxed on board today.  We waited patiently for the bread man to arrive and then indulged in some pain-au-chocolat for breakfast along with a cafetiere.

After breakfast I read a book and Richard tried fishing off the bow of Pyxis with some old bread.  We had an occasional shower as a black cloud rolled through but otherwise it remained hot and sunny.

Richard successfully caught two fish but they were a little small for the pan so they went back after identification.  We recognised the first one as a bream (a saddled seabream) but the second one was a mystery and so whilst it swam round in the bucket, I popped it onto the quay and Sarah, along with her book on Mediterranean fish, assisted with the identification.  The fish turned out to be another type of bream, a Salema we think.

There was mayhem this afternoon as quite a number of charter yachts, probably on their first outing since arriving in Greece, tried to berth in strengthening wind.  One Sunsail boat seemed to be acting as a magnet with several boats landing on it in their attempts to get in – amazingly its anchor held despite some severe abuse.

The cloud had been building offshore all afternoon and late afternoon we had some very dark cloud come over us.  Then the rain arrived and it looked like we were in for a heavy thunderstorm but then it cleared again.

Once again everything quietened down for the night.
