Tuesday 9th October – Lagos

Today was hot and sunny again - great.

I spent the day catching up with the washing (and even did the bedding) - the dry heat here is marvellous for drying.

Richard took train just along the coast to Albufeira to suss out the marina there; we want somewhere to leave the boat for a couple of weeks whilst we fly home for a visit – and Albufeira is nearer the airport at Faro.

He now appreciates that whilst the train station is called Albufeira, it isn’t actually anywhere near Albufeira – you have to get a bus from the station to the bus station on the outside of town and then another local bus to where you want to go!  So maybe the bus from Lagos may have been better after all.  Having to wait two hours at the station for a train back hasn’t done much to enamour him with the place either.

Today our Swiss & German friends texted us to say they were having another pontoon party today back in Cascais and that they would drink a Rosado (bottle of rose) to us.  Obviously it’s time for them to do some sailing and catch us up here in Lagos before they drink the place dry!
