Monday 18th April – Messolonghi (It’s a bit better)

The bad weather continued over night but by this morning the sun was out and today has been drier and less windy but there have still been occasional showers, so it has been difficult to get on with things outside.

Richard took a bike ride into town during a dry spell and bought a new saddle to replace the missing one on the other bike (together with a new puncture kit as we have depleted the old one).  When he got back he fitted it and we now have two functional bikes again J

I took the same opportunity to clean both bathrooms, allowing me to open the hatches to dry the heads out after washing them down.

This afternoon Richard has started on the decks, scrubbing off some of the dirt which has accumulated over the winter and which has remained despite the heavy rain.

Pyxis is now looking a lot cleaner and shinier both inside and up top.

This evening it is drying out and is even a fraction warmer, though looking at the weather forecast for the UK it is substantially better over there L

Tonight, we have checked out our navigation and mooring lights to ensure they are still working.
