Today there was finally some breeze through the harbour, the temperatures were still in the mid-late 30s (37°C down below mid afternoon) but a bit more bearable.

We have topped up with water and given Pyxis a light rinse to get rid of the salt and dust from her deck.  Richard has done a run to Carrefour for some protein and I have started sewing new mosquito nets for the hatches as the old ones are deteriorating L.  Our American neighbours and the megayacht have both headed off today.

Our Dutch neighbours went off early morning to walk the Samaria Gorge, following our glowing report, and have come back exhausted (we did warn them it was heavy going) – they said that they tried to hire a donkey when they got to the half way point at Samaria village.

Late afternoon the wind increased and has been blowing F4/5 across the beam until nightfall.

This evening we have welcomed a tiny French yacht beside us where the American yacht had left.  A friendly solo sailor, Claude, to whom we have administered ouzo after his long day.
