Saturday 8th December – Lagos

This morning we were up bright and early as Lee and Barbara, who also have a 393, came to visit Pyxis and compare notes at 10 o’clock – early for us anyway!

After this I caught up on some washing and we finally managed to clear the stern cabin enough for it to be habitable.

At lunchtime we went to Moonshadow for the official unveiling of the new bathroom and kitchen – definitely 5* hotel rather than yacht.  Whilst we were there the crew from ‘Blue Nose’ came by to say farewell ahead of their departure for the Canaries today.

This afternoon Richard went off to explore the local hardware store and then came back and started wiring up the new cabin lights.

At 6 we headed off for a bit of internet and skype and were able to show Peter our favourite Christmas internet cartoon – singing Santa and reindeer.

On the way back to Pyxis we went via a bar to say goodbye to another yacht who are going home tomorrow afternoon and then we headed back for dinner.
