Monday 1st June – Valletta, Malta

We were awoken early by some rain and then some gale force gusts of wind blowing through the marina.  Fortunately these both quickly went away.  Outside the shelter of the harbour, the wind has continued to gust strongly most of the day – moving around from the SE to the NW.

There is no fuel berth in the marina here and boats get refuelled by small road tankers doing deliveries.  This afternoon, as Richard returned from the nearby store with some bread for lunch, he spotted a tanker doing a delivery to a nearby motorboat and we were able to top up our fuel cans.

Later this afternoon we went out in search of meat and fish for dinner; we tried the small nearby shops and then Richard popped back to the supermarket we visited the other day.
