Sunday 13th January – Vilamoura

Last night we revisited the Old Navy bar we had visited some time back with Peter and Carola.  The same band were providing the live music and the music was great.  Tired after all the fresh air sailing down, we just stayed for one drink (yes, just one, but it was Guinness – OK, not Portuguese, but we are in a tourist resort, and it was quite a change for the palette) but we hope to catch the band again another evening this week.

Today we awoke very late, the clear skies of yesterday had been replaced by cloud and the wind was starting to gust.  After breakfast, as the wind was becoming more lively, Richard took the precaution of adding some extra lines.  During the day the wind has gone around from SE to SW and is still blowing quite hard this evening with occasional showers.

Having caught up on some essential washing, this afternoon we ventured out for a wander around the marina complex – checking out the location of the supermarkets, internet, etc.

Tonight the rain filled in after dinner and so a visit to the bar was curtailed – perhaps tomorrow…
