It’s very comfortable here – whilst toying with moving on, when we got up neither of us felt inclined to go, particularly after having looked at the forecast, so we decided to stay.

The German yacht which came in a couple of days ago left during the morning.  We chatted with them for a while before they left; they have just come down from the Black Sea, and we exchanged some passage information on some of the places we have visited.  Unfortunately their anchor was fouled on the chain of the motor boat next to us and pulled its anchor when they left.  Fortunately the skipper of the motor-boat appeared just as they were leaving and was able to reset his anchor, however, his windlass wasn’t working so he hasn’t been able to tension the chain firmly so the boat has been dropping against Pyxis from time to time.

We have had a pleasant day aboard – catching up on admin, passage planning, reading and sunbathing.

This evening we had the obligatory balik ekmek – they are particularly good – followed by an evening stroll around town, which was busy with holiday makers promenading.
