Saturday 4th October – Cagliari

We had high winds during the day (F6-8) and stayed on the boat watching how close we got to the pontoon at the stern.  We were OK but we might need to move forward a bit if it gets any stronger.

Richard managed to get the 3G card working this morning but then it stopped, the one that David got yesterday didn’t activate at all.  So in the afternoon, they both hiked back into town to the phone shop to get them sorted.  Fortunately they are now both working.

Late this afternoon, we were introduced to the wine man.  He sells the wine from his own vineyard in demi-johns (5 litres) and does a delivery to the marina each week.  After tasting a couple of types, we decided to buy a couple of bottles.  It was proving popular, a number of other new arrivals were also ordering in addition to his regulars, so he is going to come back in the morning with some more supplies.

This evening the wind quietened down and the planned BBQ went ahead at the marina.  It was a late night; Richard was highly delighted as he was plied with lamb by one of the residents here.
