Today we have had a quiet day up on deck with a book, enjoying the spell of hot weather here at the moment – having returned to Pyxis very late this morning.

When the evening drew on and it cooled a little, we went ashore to re-stock the larder from the large supermarket near here– it’s a bit of a hike (with trolley being pressed into service) but a good supermarket, one of our favourite chains.

Getting on and off the dinghy at the landing spot proved a bit of a challenge – some water-skiers were out in the bay and the boats were sending some large wash into the shore causing all the moored dinghies to be bounced around.  At one point we had to jump up onto the nearby wall to avoid getting soaked by a particularly large wave.

Tonight we have had a late supper on board – yes, the good old prawns and baguette routine (well, it’s been a while) J
