Monday 15th September – Mahón, Menorca

Today the weather was a mixed bag.  We had cloud in the morning and a bit of sun this afternoon.  There has been a fair breeze most of the day in the harbour, offshore the mistral has continued.

It’s mostly been a boat day, doing a few jobs: replacing the gaz bottle, cleaning the log, filling the water tank (and sitting around with a book).  Lunchtime we went for a walk ashore and topped up with some provisions in town.  This afternoon I did a bit of washing and even managed to get most of it dry in the evening breeze – yes, it’s still a bit windy.

The weather is still not looking favourite for passaging so we will be here a while longer – the good news is that the price of the buoys (and the floating islands) have gone down today  J

This evening Sedna have arrived and berthed on the floating island close by.  Richard popped along to see how they are; they have just arrived from Mallorca after a long day at sea.
