The weather forecast for the bottom of the Evia channel continues to show very strong winds (from the current meltemi) going out to next week and so, berthed just to the north of it, we will sit it out for a few days here and see how the forecast develops. 

Nevertheless, we are still getting strong gusts where we are but luckily, although on the beam and astern, when astern we have a wall between us and the beach and so this limits the amount of beach that ends up in the cockpit!

It does mean we are getting a more traditional break for a few days – spending time on the beach reading, sunbathing and cooling off in the sea.
