We were up early before it got too hot - it was to be a day of boat-keeping chores. As it was, the continuing strong winds kept the temperatures pleasant and we were able to crack on with the jobs.

After some admin in the morning, Richard set to on giving the dinghy a good scrub and then started on Pyxis. With the luxury of being alongside a pontoon he was able to scrub the port side before starting on cleaning the anchor locker (very muddy) and the deck (very dusty). He did suggest going out and turning the boat around so he could do the other side properly but this wasn't going to happen given the winds gusting through. In the meantime I tackled cleaning both bathrooms and the washing mountain.

All this took quite a bit of time; by the time Richard had finished cleaning the forward part of the deck so that I could put my washing out it was already 5pm. However, out it went, and with the very strong winds combined with the strong sun, it was all dry before sundown.

With Pyxis washed, Richard filled the water tanks, stowed the dinghy for passage, and tidied the cockpit whilst I finished up with the washing and clearing down below.

By the time we finished with showers and dinner it was very late; a satisfying day but very long & tiring.
