Sunday 22nd June – Porto Petro, MallorcaPorto Cristo, Mallorca

Another gloriously sunny day – I’ve had to get really serious with the suncream now.

This morning we reluctantly left Porto Petro and headed five miles up the coast to Porto Colom where we intended to refuel before going further north.  The swell was a little more lumpy than yesterday and the wind was a F4 right on the nose so we motored along the coast.  Unfortunately when we arrived the fuel station had a long queue so we abandoned the idea and continued on our way.

After Porto Colom, the wind was quieter and so we motored the short hop to Port Cristo where we have berthed at the Club Nautico (expensive but not as bad as some other marinas here, but very nice showers and a swimming pool and wifi included).

The last few days have been quite a contrast – anchoring off an open sandy beach, picking up a mooring buoy in a small cala, and now berthing beside a small, busy resort.

Late this afternoon, having rinsed some of the salt off Pyxis, we went up to try the pool and Moonshadow went to visit friends who are holidaying just down the coast from here.

A relaxing night on board this evening with dinner courtesy of the microwave for the first time in a while J
