Just after breakfast, Richard went off to town with Russell to the hardware store as we wanted to get some hose to use as a chaff protector on our shore lines.

On his return we sought out Lucky and found him sleeping under the hulls of the catamaran near us on the hard – it was time to apply his anti-tick treatment.  He’s been having the treatment regularly but the guy who normally does it is away at the moment so we had volunteered.  Richard donned rubber gloves and I fussed Lucky whilst Richard squeezed the liquid onto the back of his neck and rubbed it in.  He accepted the treatment without complaint and we think Lucky ended up with more of the tick treatment on him than we did.

Richard then fixed the puncture on my bike.  Later he decided to go for a short cycle ride on his bike around the marina and down to the canal.  Needless to say, his rear tyre picked up a puncture whilst he was out so when he got back he had another puncture to fix.  Maybe we should stick to cycling on the roads rather than the dirt tracks (or get solid tyres).

It looks like we are on animal duty for the next couple of days.  Our neighbours who usually feed Lucky and the little kitten have been persuaded to go out sailing for a few days.  They have been stuck in the marina for over 3 months as Chris has been recovering from a broken ankle.  This afternoon we were loaded up with tinned food, biscuits and dog/ cat treats and given instruction on how and when to feed them.
