Friday 27th May – Mykonos

Another very windy night with rain pounding on deck.  I spent the day relaxing in the cockpit with a book and Richard reviewed the weather forecast for the area and browsed through charts and pilot books trying to decide where to head when we can move on.

Periodically we were assailed with a thunderstorm – one particularly heavy one arriving just as Richard was topping up the water tanks and as our neighbours (the four Swedes) were walking down the quay after a trip to town for provisions.  They ended up sprinting the rest of the way to their boats as the rain tipped down.

This evening we went for a walk up the hill opposite the marina and the view down showed that the marinaro has stopped insisting that all yacht go stern-to the quay we are on.  New arrivals are spread out around the marina, alongside where they can get.  The weather seems to have worn him down too.
