This morning we awoke to no wind but it was forecast to increase strongly again in the afternoon.  Richard took the chance to take the genoa down to check the sunstrip – sure enough, just as he pulled it out the wind switched on.  Still he managed to get the repairs done and get it hoisted back up again.

This afternoon Richard went off on a bus ride into Puerto Banus and Marbella with Moonshadow – I said I would stay on board and keep an eye on Carola’s bread in her bread making machine and take it out when necessary (a lame excuse for opting out of the hike but I thought they’d fall for it).  However by the time they were ready to go, the bread was ready.  I held out for a quiet day, book firmly in hand, and wished them a pleasant trip as I stood there in my bikini, waving them off.

I had a very pleasant day, finished an excellent book, then realised it was 8.30pm so went down below, made some supper and settled down with a glass of wine dozing with a DVD.

Perfect… that is, until three rather lively and chirpy chaps turned up from their trip, fresh as daisies and sated from food and drink… but I’ll forgive them - they did bring me a present J
