Monday 2nd May – Nisís Trizónia

Over night, as predicted, the wind moved around to the west.  There were a few boats alongside doing delivery trips east and they left overnight to take the wind down to the Corinth Canal and through to Athens.  This morning a few other boats left early to hop east down the coast a little further.

We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and then went for a walk around the island.  Getting off the boat was much easier as unfortunately the wind had built during the morning and we were now being pinned hard to the wall.

Yesterday, Richard set our fender board to protect the fenders from the pebble-dash wall, but we are still being squeezed hard enough for the fenders to be rubbing the wall, albeit not as hard as they would if we didn’t have the board in place.

After our walk, we had lunch on board in the howling wind looking at beautiful blue skies to the east – it’s a bizarre setting really.  Unable to sit still, Richard did a couple of runs with the jerry can to top up our water supply.

This evening we are going ashore to eat at the taverna we had a drink at last night.
