Today the weather was the same as yesterday with clouds and a sprinkle of rain in the morning; however, once again, it cleared.

Early this afternoon I did some washing; this is the first time I’ve done it whilst at anchor and so I was very conscious of the water I was using.  It’s amazing how more involved doing the washing is when you haven’t got an automatic washing machine to just throw the clothes in.  The wind was lively and dried the washing within the hour.

With the washing out of the way, we took the dinghy ashore to get some provisions as we were running short of fresh food; there is a large Eroski nearby which yesterday seemed full of English holiday-makers also stocking up.  The wind was blowing up against us as we headed back to Pyxis, putting a bit of a chop on the water so keeping our speed down.

Richard then went off into town again in search of wifi internet access as he wanted to do some updates on the laptop.  About half way to town across the bay he came across a couple struggling to paddle their dinghy back to their mooring just along from us, having the wind and chop against them, and their engine having died.  So he took them in tow back to their boat and saved a long and uncomfortable trip for them, before carrying on to town.

Whilst he was gone I stowed everything and then ran the engine to charge the batteries, and then ran the water maker to make up for the washing I did earlier.

This evening I cooked Chinese for us; we enjoyed it sitting in the cockpit in the slightly cooler air that we are getting at the moment – very pleasant.
